POLAR CITY RED -- a climate novel about global warming and mankind's future -- PRESS RELEASE

Oklahoma author Jim Laughter is at it again! Just in time for Earth Day 2012, Jim’s new climate novel, Polar City Red is being published worldwide in paperback, Kindle, Nook, and all other electronic formats.
Polar City Red, is a fiction set in the Arctic Circle in the year 2075 after global warming destroys the Earth’s ecosystem and forces millions of people to migrate to the polar regions above the Arctic Circle to escape the heat and destruction of the major continents.

The characters include a Russian scientist, a migrant family, a crusty old hunter, a military combat squadron, and a whole host of other interesting and believable characters just trying to survive in an isolated geodesic city in the frozen tundra at the base of the Yukon Mountains.
The New York Times says that the idea of polar cities is “A thought experiment that might prod people out of their comfort zone on climate.''

Leading global warming activist and author of Gaia: A New Look at Life on Earth, Dr. James Lovelock says, “We cannot regard the future of the civilized world in the same way as we see our personal futures. The planet may have already passed the tipping point on global warming.”
